“Yeah, well if you haven’t noticed we’re a LONG way from the Empire, new supplies won’t be here for months and I’d like to currently supply of ammo to last until then. That won’t happen if we’re blowing away every lizard we come across. Its easier to just work with them when they aren’t actively hostile.”

He also tells you they’ve captured an interesting prisoner, an Elojin.
