As you exit the ruins you realize you’ve really done a number on yourself. You can’t possibly stay in your village now that you’re demon bound! Most of them follow the One True God, they’d sense it immediately and either burn you at the stake, or run away in fear. Lose 2 LUCK points.

“Hey there’s a village nearby, let’s go there.” Azoth says smugly.

You’ve got to get rid of this demon somehow. Maybe the nearest city could provide some answers; there are all types in a city, you could probably wander around there without worrying about being persecuted at every corner. Maybe you could even find something to help you on the journey there.

You don’t want to not say goodbye though. You wait until night and sneak back into your house and leave a note to your parents while they’re asleep, saying that you need to leave the village to find your own way, you don’t want to tell them the truth.

“Wow, you lied to them! You’re off to a great start, I’m glad we bonded!” Azoth says mockingly.

You leave your village and look back one last time, wondering if you’ll ever return, and if you do, if you’ll be rid of this.

Well you wanted to be an adventurer, looks like you got off on one hell of a start. Literally.
