You travel through the valley, looking at the nearby mountains and being happy you don’t have to travel over those! So far it’s relatively uneventful, until you come across some DWARVES arguing. They look like they’ve just come out of a battle.
“Ach, I’m tellin’ you we almost had ‘im that time!”
“Oh yeah? You go tell that to Blag! Whose now got a sword through ‘is ‘ead!”
“Blag was an idiot! I told ‘im to not charge the damn thing like that! Bloody leatherhead thing ta do that was.”
“You realize we started out with a group of eight and we’re the only two left now right? Do you think this is going to get easier or harder with less people?”
“I’m tellin’ you we’ve weakened it enough now, all we gotta do is rest, and…”
“Yeah and while we rest, that thing also heals! We gotta go back and get more men!”
“Gah! We can’t do that! The King assigned us this mission! We can’t go back in failure!”
Suddenly they stop arguing and notice you.
“ ‘Ere now, who’s this human?”
“Well who are ya then? Speak lad!”
