You pick the phone and throw it at him. Your aim is true for once and you watch with satisfaction as it flies through the air on it's way to a perfectly thrown hit against the ninja's head. As you watch the phone stops flying through the air just inches from hitting the ninja and jerks back a bit before falling to the ground. The phone cord only goes so far.

You curse your foolishness silently as the ninja turns to looks in your direction. He sees you and he is approaching fast. Thinking quickly you take the couch and shove it towards him. Against any other intruder in your home, this tactic would work. But the ninja just sommersaults over it and lands on top of you, plunging a sword through your chest as you fall to the ground on your back.

You start to remember things. Things you haven't thought about in a long while. Things you didn't even know you knew. You see your dog spike who died over four years ago, he's bringing a ball for you to throw for the thousandth time. You remember speaking your first word. You remember being born. You remember everything. You remember nothing. Everything is nothing now. You are dead.
