You run to the hotel lobby, passing a drunken couple who are walking in from a night on the town. The woman shrieks a little and then collapses in a fit of laughter while the man attempts to pull her up off the floor.

The desk clerk does not seem entirely amuised by your antics and he stares at you with a stern look on his face. "You cannot run around naked, sir. If you do not clothe yourself at once, I will have you removed."

"You don't understand." You say. "A man came into my room. He was trying to kill me."

The clerk doesn't seem so upset now. "Hold on. I'll call the police." He picks up the phone and dials while the drunk coule walks past you. The woman gives you a little wink.

Shit, you think, he's calling the police. You don't want to stick around for the police. After killing the man who killed your wife; you are most likely a wanted man.

You stand there for a full minute, thankful that the man did not follow you into the lobby, but knowing that if you wait around for the police then you are likely to be arrested. On the other hand; if you leave, you are ceertain that your would-be murderer will be waiting for you outside.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
