Devil Boy Destroys the Universe!
Well, now that you're finally out of Devil Boy's room, before I give you the lay of the land, I'm going to set a few ground rules. Oh, quit whining! It's my story, and I can do this sort of thing any time I please, so listen up...
Devil Boy's starting stats are:
Attack - 1
Defense - 1
Special Attacks - None
Health - 100
Magic - 20
Stamina - 100
Mood - 10
Condition - None
(These won't be mentioned again, so you'd do well to write this down.)
If Devil Boy comes across any items or special situations that alter his stats in any way, you'll be told about it so that you can adjust his stats accordingly (What? You thought I was going to do that for you? As IF. By the way, if you got any items or stat boosts/drops in Devil Boy's room, I hope you took note of them. If not, tough luck - start again. Heh heh.).
If Devil Boy acquires any items, you must keep track of them. He has infinite storage, as most devils do, but he only has two arms, and therefore may only equip two weapons at any given time.
If Devil Boy acquires any Special Attacks, you will be duly notified and should take note of what they do.
If Devil Boy suffers any Condition on his journey, you will be told how it affects his stats, and may consider it permanently applied until told otherwise.
If for any reason Devil Boy's Health or Stamina stats drop to or below 0, your quest is over. While it is true, that only 0 Health will kill Devil Boy, 0 Stamina makes him pass out (and you're as good as dead around here in that condition anyway).
Devil Boy's mood is important as well, as the higher his mood is, the less likely he is to do something cranky and unpredictable. Good luck there, buddy!
Oh, and by the way, if Devil Boy dies or passes out, you may consider yourself (in addition to being in a state of "quest over") in a condition of the aforementioned "or else". Just imagine something appropriately nasty and vile and consider having to do it for eternity, whatever that is for you personally.
Also, for the die-rolling situations in the story, I suggest you download the free "Random Dice Roller, vers. 3.0". Just Google it - it's still available and quite a nice one, I might add. OKAY, that's it for the tutorial, now back to looking around outside Devil Boy's room...
No sooner has Devil Boy exited his room onto the Demon Quad than the door molds into the stone that surrounds it, barring any further return.
"Someone's onto me!" Devil Boy growls back at you, his fiery eyes telling you that something must be done... quickly!
There are three other oaken doors set into the blackened stone that seems to make up the outskirts of this quad (more like a cavernous cul-de-sac, if you will). The doors most likely lead to other devils' rooms, so who knows what awaits you there. The cavern also continues (narrowly) away from the Demon Quad, and there is a small stairway leading downwards right before the narrow passage. Which course should you direct Devil Boy to?
