War of the Gods R

Before you can say anything, your attention is drawn to Akaihane's side, where you stabbed him with your dagger. He apparently bandaged it while the two of you were travelling, but the motion of walking can't have helped it.

You bite your lip, feeling guilty about harming Akaihane, especially as he'd only been trying to help you. If only there was some way you could make up for it...

You blink as your mind suddenly flashes on something - a fragment of memory. Someone was lying on the ground hurt, and you healed them without hesitation. You can even remember how you did it.

"I'm sorry I attacked you," you say out loud to Akaihane. "Would you like me to heal that?" You gesture towards his side.

"Hm?" Akaihane follows the line of your gaze, and gives a slight shrug. "It is nothing," he replies lightly. "Do not worry about it."

"Please?" you request, taking a step forward. "I feel bad about hurting you... I want to make up for it." Your expression is pleading.

Akaihane frowns, looking like he wants to argue some more, but he doesn't protest as you step closer to him to reach out. You frown a bit, though, as you notice the bandages on his hands. "You're hurt further?"

Akaihane pulls his hands back out of your reach. "Do not worry about it," he repeats. "It is nothing."

"It is something," you insist. You frown a little as it suddenly occurs to you. "Did you cut your hands when you grabbed my sword?"

"Yes," Akaihane replies, a little shortly. He seems almost... worried about you.

His reaction is a little confusing, but you reach for his hands, and he doesn't protest further. You carefully unwrap the bandages, and draw in your breath sharply as you see the cuts across Akaihane's hands.

At least the edges seem more or less clean, though...

You close your eyes, reaching for the wellspring of power residing deep inside of you. As you draw it up, your nose begins to itch, and your eyes water, but you push that mild irritation aside.

You use your power to speed up the body's natural healing process, but as much of it goes to keeping the pain at bay. As well as his hands, you also heal Akaihane's side.

Once the healing is finished, you release Akaihane's hands, and stumble back a few paces.

Akaihane instantly grabs your wrist to steady you. "Lady Light...?!"

You shake your head slightly. "I'm all right..." you reply. "It just... took a lot out of me..."

Akaihane doesn't look so convinced, but he lets go of your wrist, though continues to watch you worriedly.

What are you going to do about the skinners?
