"Are you all right?" you ask, concern flaring in your eyes as you notice Kayata wincing. You push aside your sadness over Ryushi's death to worry about your surviving friend.
"Hm?" Kayata glances up at you, and smiles slightly. "I'm fine," she replies.
"If you're going to keep having birds land on your arm, then shouldn't you use better material?" you suggest, making sure to keep your hands well away from the bird, not wanting to be savaged by its beak or talons.
Kayata makes a slight face. "I haven't yet found any material durable enough," she admits. "I don't mind too much, though. The birds don't leave any lasting damage. Not usually, anyway."
"All right," you sigh.
