War of the Gods
The man blinks at you, clearly taken by surprise by the way you've just demanded his help. Not that you can really blame him, of course - you are strangers to each other, after all.
You wince a little at the pain in your side. You thought that it had just been a scratch, but it feels so much deeper than that, and you can feel the warmth of the blood trickling down your side. Not to mention that there's a sudden feeling of weakness - apparently, the claw caught a muscle.
And aren't skinners' claws and fangs poisonous...?
The man barely hesitates a moment, though, and he stands up to meet the skinners' threat as they come into view, standing in front of you, shielding you from them.
You feel bad about making this man protect you, but you're in no shape to try and fight, even if you could remember how to use a sword.
However, there seems to be something about this man... As soon as he meets the skinners' threat, you feel some kind of power moving. You can't automatically recognise it, but...
For some strange reason, the skinners turn and flee.
When they are completely gone, the man turns to you and eyes you with obvious concern. "Are you all right?" he asks.
What are you going to do?
