Much of Nothing R

In the face of a danger as intense as the one before you, there is only one thing you can logicaly do. And that one thing is to run.

You waste no time turning around to run off. Terri sees the look in your eyes and instinctively knows what you have in mind. She leads the way on a desperate escape from the bear behind you.

You glance over your shoulder and note sadly that Dan still stands petrified before it. In your over the shoulder glance you see the bear step past your terrified freind, it's eyes trained on your fleeing form.

You can hear it crashing through the brush and thudering down the path after you, it's steps becoming louder and louder as it gains on you. Terri is a few steps ahead of you, her own frantic pace an indication of her fear.

It isn't long before you feel the ground shake as the bear draws nearer behind you. You falter in one of your steps and start to feel warm breath on the back of your neck. Suddenly a force hits you from the side and you are cartwheeling through the air like some sort of discarded child's play thing.

Your face hits the hard ground first, a burst of pain jolts from your face, through your neck, and touching on your shoulders. The rest of your body hits the earth next and you lay there in a crumpled form for a few moments before you feel teeth clamp onto the back of your neck. You are lifted up from the ground in the grip of his jaws before he flings you several dozen feet with a twist of his neck.

The bear wastes no time and is back upon you only moments later. His teeth tear chunks of flesh from your skin and you feel a profound, teeth clenching pain like nothing you've ever experienced before. He bites into you again and again, tearing you apart until at last he mercifully sinks his teeth into your throat and rips it out.
