The time to have acted against Elliot would’ve been long ago, this is your life now and you’re stuck. And you also realize you can’t go on waiting for the other shoe to drop. Elliot’s finally gotten around to his plan of getting rid of you, you aren’t blind. He’s sending his kids for you to teach, so that one day they’ll replace you. Then at best he’ll allow you to live as a eunuch like most of the other guys here, or he’ll just kill you and as far as you’re concerned that’s the ONLY choice he’s going to have.
And if you kill him, you know you’d die soon after and someone else would just take his place. You ponder the idea of killing his children, since he seems to be a bit enthusiastic about continuing his bloodline, but you know he’d just have more and you don’t think you could kill a child, at least not directly....then it suddenly occurs to you what you can do. Something you can do to shut down the whole show.
“Sonofabitch! Why didn’t I think of that before?!” you say out loud.
“Ohhh! You said a bad word!” one of the children shouts, causing you look over at them all.
“You bet your ass I did! Hey kids do you find this boring?”
“Yeah.” They all say in unison.
“Would you like to never have to do it ever again?”
“Yeah!”
“Would you all like to see a neat trick instead?”
“YEAH!”
“Okay! Brace yourselves!”
You whip out your pistol and start blasting the central computer, causing it to spark, shutter, and all other kinds of bad things before it shuts down completely taking all the shelter’s power with it. All the children scream and run off while you’re doing it. Screaming yelling by other shelter members in the distance soon follows, you can hear footsteps running towards your position, everyone’s probably wondering what’s going on. You take a mental count of how many bullets you used up.
“Let’s see…oh good, I got one left.”
You point the gun at your head and pull the trigger.
