You open your eyes.
What you see, is nothing of the sort one would expect to see when waking up. You find yourself sitting in a small wooden boat, in the middle of a sea. There is not a single thing in the boat, and in all directions stretches the infinite sea. It's sunny and warm, and not even a slight breeze is blowing. Silence, is what you hear, or rather, sounds are what you do not hear.
