Just an Olde Fashioned Love Song R

"Okay, I'll be waiting. It'll be a few hours, right? I need a morning beer to help cope with this hangover. And make sure she doesn't know why she's here. I can't imagine you being dumb enough to tell her your plan, but if you're in love with her, you're dumber than I thought."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. I just need to get Melissa inside your range." Which shouldn't be too hard, really. After his first period, Gunther was heading over to Melissa's house to work on an English assignment. It was supposed to be group work, but he'd probably end up doing most of the effort. Not that he particularly cared...but maybe he'd be able to use that to convince her to come back to his place...

Gunther had never seen a math class drag on for so long. It's not like the chain rule was hard, either! "If he puts up one more example on the board, I'm going to scream," he muttered.

Finally, though, the class was over, and Gunther walked over to the greek life street. There were a few rogue frats that could be found on another street, but for the most part there were all housed on this one campus street. It wasn't surprising, considering how close the houses were to the nearest liquor store. He found the house of the girls of Upsilon Sigma Epsilon, and walked on in.

Melissa was waiting for him in the lobby. "I brought my laptop down so we can type this thing up," she said, pointing at her computer. She was still standing, though, which probably meant she wanted Gunther to type up the report.

Well, he wasn't expecting anything less. "Do you mind if we head over to my house so that we can finish this up? We both know I'm going to end up dong most of the work anyway. If I'm going to do all of the work, I'd at least like to do it in the comfort of my own home."

Melissa glared at him. "If you're going to write the paper at your house, why do I have to be there."

"Because I'm a geek," he replied, glaring back at her. "I don't believe in free rides. If you're not there, I'm going to tell the professor how you didn't do any of the work."

"You wouldn't dare!"

"Try me."

"Fine," she muttered. "You'd better net me an 'A'!" she added, threateningly.

Well, it's not like she could do anything about it, thought Gunther. She's just as strong as I am, if not less! And that's saying something.
