You find yourself in an odd section of hallway. That is to say, the entire left section of the hallway is gone. In its place is a piece of shoreline, with a sea that extends ever outward toward the horizon.

And, for some odd reason, the smell of citrus lingers in the air. Further inspection of the beach reveals a piece of cloth with the Jolly Roger on it washed up on the shore. Is this a clue?

Well, it hardly matters now. There aren't any doors in this section, due to the beach, so you might as well continue onward.
