Christian's Castle PG

You open the door which creaks with a phony sound that you can only imagine comes from a sound effect machine that plays when the door is opened. You try the door again and again - open, shut, open, shut - with the same noise each time, though no visible evidence of the speakers. "Odd," you think.

Taking your last definitive step into the room, you cough uncontrollably, as the air is dank and musty. Your coughs and spasms stir up clouds of dust through which you see streams of light piercing the room through stained glass windows that provide explosions of color on each side of the room.

In all actuality, the "room" is more like an ENORMOUS hall, lined with shelf after shelf after shelf of all KINDS of books! There is one column of bookshelves on your left and one one your right. You think to yourself how like dominoes they appear, all waiting for some foul giant to come and knock them down.

Squinting to see if this hall HAS an end, you espy a wooden desk some ways off, even too far for you to be audibly heard by whomever is at it, although by your best guess, you surmise it is possibly an ancient old man, no doubt poring over some antique texts.

Your head spinning at the prospect of all that could possibly be gained in pure intellect from these books, you wonder if you wouldn't do well to look through some yourself.
