Christian's Castle PG

You follow the orchard path that runs between the many fragrant fruit trees, heavy-laden with all kinds of ripe-looking, luscious fruits - cherries, bananas, oranges, apples, pears, grapefruits, coconuts. "This Mr. Christian has enough food surely to feed the whole state," you muse.

Satisfied that the environment is remaining the same, you happily continue down the path, lazily letting your gaze rest solely on the path immediately before you. However, it isn't long before you realize that the fruit trees are no more and have been replaced by unforgiving dark oaks and vine trees in such abundance that the once bright sun has been all but blocked from view. Glancing down at your feet, you notice as well that the path you assumed you were on no longer exists. You frantically look backward for any trace of the well-worn path, but find only dense undergrowth.

You press onward through the brush and brambles until it looks as if you've reached a clearing. Clearing is, perhaps, the wrong word, for it is merely an overgrown grove with little light filtering into it. At the leftmost corner of it there stands a rock-face that juts into the clearing, almost as if excusing itself to pass through. In this face lies a perfectly round opening that appears to preface a cave, lit by torches receding into its bowels. Immediately next to the cave is a wooden pointer sign that reads: "The Cave of Earthly Delights". In the rightmost corner of the clearing stands the only other exit that you can discern - a muddied path that appears to have been trodden by a heavy army, which can be followed with your vision quite some distance, disappearing into a mountain pass.
