Christian's Castle PG

You advance to the nearest wall and start to trudge along beside it, searching for a tree which might be tall enough to climb and vault over the massive stone wall. Apparently, you are not the first person to do so, for a path has been worn down from grass to dirt about a foot from the wall.

Frustration and then despair begins to enshroud your journey as each fruit tree seems altogether too short to get over the wall, or too thin to support your weight. Finally, you come to a large oak which must have been the decision of countless others, as the path diverges directly toward it. You follow the path up to it and see a dirt circle around it as others have obviously rounded the tree, deciding where to start.

You glance upwards, ensuring that its branches do indeed crest the wall, and they do. Wondering if your friends might have escaped the same way, you begin your assent, nimbly passing from limb to limb, climbing ever higher. Once on a level plain with the top of the wall, you see a wooden sign that reads, "The Sheepfold". It points to the other side of the wall.

"I don't care WHERE Mr. Christian keeps his sheep, I've got to get OUT of here!" you think to yourself. You brace yourself on the small branch from which you intend to jump to the top of the wall. You gauge the distance carefully, rocking your arms back and forth as you bounce to gain momentum.

"One... two..." you count.
SNAP! The branch gives way, and you fall screaming to the grass, a breakneck 20 feet below. You land with a thud, with the only other sounds emitted being the cracking of most every bone in your body. As your vision grows dim, you notice a tombstone nearby that you hadn't seen before that simply reads: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."
