A Private Discussion

By: unknown

After a relaxing massage Darious was ready to lounge in the hot tub with Edward and his father. Before he could do so his mother approached him.

"Darious, can we have a conversation? There's something I want to discuss."

Darious then follows his mother Arlene to an empty room in the spa.

"My dearest son, I know you're a treasure hunter and you're seeking the Wizard's Coins and the Sorceress's Runes," Arlene said.

"That's correct mother. Yet a plan to stay a few weeks. It's been forever since I was home."

Arlene smiled and playfully jiggled Darious's belly before kissing him on the cheek.

"That's good. I was hoping you would do me a favor."

"What kind of favor, mother?"

Arlene sighed and ate a cookie from a plate sitting on the table in the room.

"I want you to help your father purify the Rune. Not only that, but I want you to be fatter than your father before you leave."

Darious chuckled causing his belly to shake. He then devoured all the cookies on the plate. The plate glowed and new cookies magically appeared as Darious swallowed the cookies.

"You don't have to ask me twice mother," Darious said. "However, I sense a motive, do I not?"

Arlene chuckled as she took another cookie and ate it.

"There is my dearest son. Lady Helga on Ironback Isle has a coin in her possession. Yet she will only give it to the largest nobleman. Yet there are also rumors of a rune on the isle as well. They say Lord Cylde uses it to power an arena."

Darious' tail eagerly swishes at the news. "That is most excellent news, mother. Once my crew arrives at the mansion I shall tell them the news."

Darious makes his way to the hot tub. However, he hears a conversation taking place.
